Hey hey, here's a long overdue outfit post featuring the perfect black blazer.
Blazers are such an important part of my wardrobe, I have a unofficial work wear wardrobe and it's basically blazers worn with t-shirts, jeans, trainers and the occasional pair of court shoes when I'm feeling less lazy (it can't be overstated how lazy I am when getting dressed). What I love about a blazer is that it makes me feel instantaneously work-ready and pulled together, even when my brain might not be on the same page (it usually gets going sometime around midday on a Tuesday).

Every wardrobe needs a great black blazer in my opinion, something well-cut, a little oversized, made from beautiful fabric with good structure. The Baukjen Ashcroft black blazer that I'm wearing here ticks all the boxes for me. It's made of a cotton polyester-mix; the cotton makes it cooler, whilst the polyester mix eliminates creases. It's a fabric mix that gives a very subtle sheen to the jacket, making it feel that little bit smarter than your standard high street blazer.
The single breasted shape is also universally flattering, if you've got a bigger bust I'd definitely recommend avoiding double breasted jackets as they are less streamlined. Size-wise, I went up to a 12 in this jacket because I like my blazers on the bigger side, it's just a personal thing.
I have been wearing it with just about everything, dresses, mini skirts, black trousers for a suited aesthetic. It's truly a forever piece and I can't recommend it highly enough!
