LFF OUTFITS: THE RIGHT STRIPES

My first post of the year and my pledge as a blogger - in 2016 I promise to publish content that's useful

You're busy, I'm busy, modern life is busy, so I want to cut the crap and share something useful in as a fewer words as possible. To begin as I mean to go on - I've got two discoveries to share with you today: that perfect stripe t-shirt and an upcoming British accessories brand.

I plan to spend a good 50% of this year in Breton tops. They look good with just about everything. Putting together an outfit in 60 seconds flat? Just reach for a stripe. For me the perfect mariniere is a loose, boxy shape with wide, long sleeves to fold up. My t-shirt here is from Armor-Lux, a heritage French brand founded in 1938. You can find Breton tops in just about every shape and size on the Armor Lux site and they ship globally. Prices are really good too, (50 euros and under). I'm wearing the 'Cap Coz' here which is a classic slash-neck cut - it's 100% cotton and pretty much the perfect Breton.

My Eleanor cross body bag is from a British accessories brand called Ilex London. Ilex craft their accessories from luxe ethically sourced leathers - this style combines embossed Iguana  leather with luxurious calf nappa. Expect super-smart handbags, the sort that will elevate a simple jeans and jumper outfit into something chic. If you looking for a luxurious bag that you can't pick up in every next department store, investigate Illex. The prices are affordable, too, you'll find an everyday bag for well under £200.
