WHEN TO BUY DESIGNER CLOTHES (AND WHEN TO SAVE YOUR MONEY!)
I am not going to lie, if money was no object I wear designer errrrything. Unfortunately working in the fashion industry, my budget doesn't stretch far past T K Maxx's reduced Gold Label rail, so I have to be creative and splurge wisely. But where to spend and where to save? I like to draw inspiration from the fashion editors and invest where it really shows - spending in outfit transforming statement styles - and saving on the basics. For everyday denim - Topshop, for knitwear and cashmere - Uniqlo and simple tees and shirting - Gap. Then your blow-out budget is free to splurge on fabulous shoes, handbags, womens jackets, chic dresses and sunglasses, that elevate your high street classics to stylish new heights.
