I told myself I wasn't going to attend London Fashion Week this season. As a part-time blogger I have no real reason or entitlement to be there, I just happen to love the whole experience. But having given it some thought I realised I would be really sad to miss out on the whole event - I have attended 10 consecutive seasons now and am yet to feel jaded by fashion. So on Saturday I put on my finery and headed to the new venue - Brewer Street Car Park (more on the venue later…) - for the Jasper Conran show. Here's what I wore:
Have you discovered ASOS White yet? The etail giant's in-house label is going from strength-to-strength and is now up there with the likes of Cos and & Other Stories, offering something that little bit different and a little bit cooler from mainstream high street brands. Granted, ASOS White's prices are not cheap, but the quality offered is noticeably different to your standard ASOS dress. When this Funnel Neck Striped Dress popped up on site, I just knew I wanted to wear it to LFW. I loved the retro 1960s feel created by the funnel neck and three-quarter sleeves, contrasted against the modern and contemporary cut and midi length. Oh and the pockets! All great dresses feature pockets IMHO.
You've probably spotted my Sophie Hulme bag… oops. I have dreamed about owning a Sophie Hulme bag since I attended her first London Fashion Week show in 2012 [have a laugh at my awful photographs here.] It feels like a special moment to have afforded a bag all by myself, 4 years later, with the help of some serious Outnet discounting! This style is now sold out but there's further amazing Sophie Hulme buys on The Outnet here.
Ideally this dress would we worn with a slightly higher heel, but us bloggers need to wear comfy shoes during LFW to get us across town between the shows. I wore my new black suede block heel boots from Next and they're so comfy. You can find them here.
Saturday was beautiful and sunny - the perfect climes for LFW so of course my Prada sunglasses came out to play. I bought these from McArthurGlen and they were such a great purchase, I kept spotting fashion editors frowing in theirs.

Great look, the dress definitely has a retro feel but I love it!
