I have an addiction to gel manicures. It's an expensive investment - but a worthwhile one in my opinion - nothing makes me feel more put together than a manicured set of talons, and a good gel manicure should last 2 weeks (if not more!). Having tried and tested numerous salons, I know the difference between a good and a bad gel mani. If you're based in London, I've found a beauty salon that offers the former - precise, professional gel manicures in on-trend OPI polishes.
Newly opened in December, Images London beauty salon in Fulham has look and feel of 5 star spa - think quilted chairs, brushed golden walls, throne-like pedicure stations and pyramids of fluffy towels.
Jane took charge of my manicure, and she's a real pro. The kind of manicurist that attracts repeat clients, Jane shaped and buffed my nails artfully and I felt completely at her ease in her hands [you'd be amazed how many manicurists manage to inflict pain whilst at work].
If you're yet to try a gel manicure, it's a simple process that involves painting nails with special polish that is 'set' under UV light for a rock-solid finish. A gel mani takes a little longer than a standard shape and polish, because each individual coat of varnish needs to be cured under the UV lamp. However, once you're mani is complete, your nails are 100% dry - post-salon smudges are a thing of the past!
The OPI colour range is HUGE, initially I went for an Ink blue polish but upon finding it didn't apply well, Jane encouraged me to swap to a deep purple hue which looked SO much better. Nothing was too much trouble, which is a sign of a great beauty salon for me.

Images is located a 30 second walk from Fulham Broadway tube on the District Line. There are also salons in Wimbledon, Clapham Common, Clapham High Street, High Street Kensington and Windsor. I highly recommend a visit to the Fulham branch - ask for Jane!
LFF was invited to Images in Fulham to trial the beauty treatments on offer. This post offers a honest opinion, if an experience is LFF rated, it won't be featured.
I walk past this salon everyday and it looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt is rather luxurious isn't it! A nice place to visit for a special treat. Sophie x
