Today's outfit post celebrates my love of the dark side; timeless black is one of my go-to colours. I think I'll end up as one of those black devotees one day, it's the uniform of some of our most-loved fashion designers (Vera Wang, Betty Jackson, Gareth Pugh, Alexander Wang, the list goes on) for good reason; black transcends the trends making it a unanimously smart buy.
This look is top-to-toe high street accessorised with a little Prada and Marc by Marc Jacobs. Choose designer accessories wisely and they will love you forever - my new Marc by Marc Jessica bag [Christmas present from my kind Mr.] is classic style and my Prada sunglasses [a McArthur Glen bargain] never fail to make an outfit feel special.

Faux-leather has come on leaps and bounds recently. This Zara skirt - a sale buy - has the look and feel of real leather. I've wanted an A-line mid-length pleather skirt for a while, it feels so much more contemporary than a fitted shape.
I have barely taken my ASOS chunky knit turtleneck jumper off since I picked it up just before Christmas. If you don't have a turtleneck knit in your wardrobe, you're missing out on a whole world of cosy comfort! This ASOS number comes in a spectrum of colours - blue, pink, black and khaki - any would be a great buy.
Turtleneck - ASOS. Skirt - Zara sale. Bag - Marc by Marc Jacobs. Sunglasses - Prada from McArthurGlen. Boots - past season Next.
