I'm taking part in another blogger style-off! I used to shy away from outfit posts, but I'm slowly learning to love them, having fun arranging regular shoots with my style partner in crime Katie (who happens to be a photography queen, which helps). So when Aspire Style invited me to take part in their style challenge I thought why not, and was faced with the difficult task of picking just one dress from their lovely website. Here's what I went for:
I'm a sucker for a vintage-inspired print, so Emily and Fin's Jessica pool party dress was a natural choice for me. I love the sweet motifs featuring 1950s ladies sunning themselves around the pool - super cute! Being taller, I always worry that dresses will come up short, but this Emily and Fin number is generous in length. It's also lined which is a key feature I look for when shopping for a summer dresses and has pockets, kudos Emily and Fin!
I didn't want to do a top-to-toe retro look, so I styled the dress with my new New Look chunky strap sandals. I acquired these recently when New Look asked me to pick my perfect summer shoe from their site - I'd had my eye on this style for a while so it wasn't a hard choice! They have attracted lots of admiring comments - they're pretty Alexander Wang aren't they and I think they look so much more expensive than £19.99. The chunky soles are ideal for pounding London's pavements too, they are super comfy!
You will probably recognise my sunglasses as Peter Pilotto x Target shades - try ebay if you want to get your hands on a pair. The metallic bag is a 2013 purchase from Dune, I love a hint of magpie sparkle.
Now for the begging part - I need your votes! If you like my look, please do head over to the Aspire style Facebook page and like my picture. And the best part is - you get entered into a prize drawer to win a £100 Aspire Style goodie bag if you do! Big big thank you in advance x
I love your outfit !!!!
