MAKING NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS WITH LINKS OF LONDON

Although I run a fashion blog alongside a full-time day job, I am unbelievably scatty. Up until 2014, I had an aversion to using a calendar or diary, a character flaw that unsurprisingly led to me turning up at one too many press days on the wrong day. So when Links of London got in touch to ask me what my new year's resolution was last December, I knew I had to resolve to be more organised. And so far I am doing well; I bought my first diary (no.3 - a  shiny silver leather style from Paperchase) and Links of London generously sent me the chic leather strap Driver watch (photograph below) to assist with my timekeeping. There's something about fabulous new accessories that are inspiring me to keep my resolution this time, so here's my edit of stylish organisational buys:

1. Silver oyster card holder, Austique, £15.
2. Lanvin luggage tags, Net-a-porter.com, £40.
3. Noto Silver Diary, Paperchase, £13.50
4. Glitter iPhone case, Bobelle London, £30
5. Noble classic watch, Links of London, £450
6. Make a decision notepad, Liberty, £8.95
7. Whale seven year pen, Liberty, £6.95
8. Alphabet bags 'Ta-da!' canvas pouch, £18.

A big thanks to Links of London for my beautiful new watch. x

LFF ATTENDS: TOPSHOP UNIQUE SS14 SHOW

Jourdan Dunn Topshop Unique SS14

Attending the Topshop Unique SS14 show last September was one of the highlights in my career as a fashion blogger. When I opened the bespoke Topshop envelope to reveal my invite (a futuristic metal credit card), I had to pinch myself. And then slap myself. And then pinch myself again. This crazed reaction turned out to be entirely justified because y’know, when you find yourself sat opposite Kate Moss, Phillip Green and Anna Wintour watching Cara Delvingne and Jourdan Dunn walk the catwalk, that’s a pretty big deal for a baby blogger like LFF!

6 OF THE BEST: BOBBLE HATS

Brrrr there's definitely a bit of a chill in the UK air this week! Right now the fashion editor's wooley of choice is the bobble hat, cute and carefree it hits just the right fashion note this season. Whether you opt for a woollen or faux-fur pom-pom, look for colourful details, chunky knits and jewel embellishments for extra style points. Here's the LFF edit of six the best beanies out there, starting from just £3

LFF EDITS: POP YOUR COLOUR

I don't know about you, but right now I am craving some colour in every area of my life. I'm eating rainbow-bright superfoods, adding pops of neon to my bedsit decor and now I want my wardrobe to reflect my sunny mood too. It's fitting then that SS14 looks set to be a colourful fashion season with a prismatic Art Pop trend replacing 2013's monochromatic mood. LFF loves Stella McCartney's current offering that features flashes of citreous tangerine contrasted against sapphire blues. Pair a colourful shift (I love the Whistles Meghan dress - no.6) with a colourful court (try Kurt Geiger's tangerine Anya pair) for a mood-enhancing look. Will you be embracing brights this season?

1. Stella McCartney Sweetheart shift dress, £699.
2. Saint Laurent Paris suede pumps, £390.
3. Whistles Rivington chain pouch, £75.
4. Stella McCartney Iconic Taylor trousers, £400.
5. Stella McCartney heart print sweater, £725.
6. Whistles Meghan crepe dress, £115.
7. Kurt Geiger Anya pointed courts, £195.

LFF'S LONDON: BRUNSWICK HOUSE CAFE

LFF’s London is back to pay a visit to a hidden treasure in South London – Brunswick House Café. This post is in collaboration with Barclaycard, who invited me to review one of my favourite independent businesses to celebrate their Freedom Rewards card. I couldn’t think of anywhere better to blog about than this restaurant, it’s one of those Narnia-like places that transports you to another world upon stepping inside

LFF EDITS: WARDROBE UPDATES FOR 2014

I've not kicked off 2014 in the best fashion - I'm currently recovering from a kidney infection which has sapped my energy completely. So, to re-invigorate myself for the season ahead I've compiled this edit of buys to introduce some of the new trends into our wardrobes. Sports luxe is still big news, although for 2014 it's seriously chic so look for luxurious fabrics and pair with a heel. A fun trend that I am loving is the demand for monster themed accessories - Fendi have some amazing monster bags and Sophie Hulme's fluffy keyrings (no.2) are  just too cute! Primary colours are also big news, so don't be afraid to buy in brights and pair them together. Have you started shopping for the new season yet?
