INVESTMENT BUY: THE SPORTMAX POTUS DRESS

On a trip to Selfridges last week, my mum and I took an equal liking to this Sportmax 'Potus' dress. Sportmax is the hip little sister of of Italian fashion brand Maxmara, offering a cutting-edge and (marginally) more affordable take on the label's look.  The Potus dress is a timeless investment piece with a fashionable yet wearable graphic rose print and sporty panelling designed to flatter the female form. The fact both my mum and I loved this dress also speaks volumes, the Sportmax look is trendy yet ageless and at £308.00 this dress is a great investment piece.

  7. I love how it's so edgy and sporty, but when you look closely, the roses have a really classic look. It's a great modern take on a timeless print. It looks super flattering too. I adore it!

  10. I have a question about this. bought it in May 2012 and wore it a few times over the summer. I have a wedding I'm attending this weekend and wondered if paired with black heels it would be appropriate to wear now. Any thoughts?

    1. Hi Rebecca- oh wow you own the dress! Very jealous.

It's a classic style so it would be absolutely appropriate for the wedding you are attending this weekend.

For summer events I might pick out the nude/ yellow tones in the dress for my accessories, but I think it will look fab for your wedding this weekend.

Congratulations on owning such a lovely piece!
