The Sunday Times newspaper is today reporting that head designer at Alexander Mcqueen, Sarah Burton, has been selected to design the royal wedding dress. The fashion rumour mill has it that chief executive of the Mcqueen label, Jonathan Akeroyd, reportedly told a colleague that the company had got the commision. Sarah Burton has been Mcqueen's head designer for 14 years, and this year designed a striking red dress worn by Michelle Obama.
So if the rumours are to be believed, this is quite an exciting choice of designer by Kate Middleton. Unlike the safe and predictable choice of an Issa dress for the engagement photocall, Mcqueen is a high-fashion, high-impact brand credited with designing iconic statement dresses for some of world's top fashionistas.
Having done a spot of googling of wedding dresses designed by the Mcqueen label, I came across the above incredible gown worn by fashion writer Plum Sykes. And I have to say, I can imagine Kate looking truly divine in a creation such as this. Looks like this could be a fashion marriage made in heaven...

MODA IN PELLE LOVES LA FASHION FOLIE BLOGSPOT!
I am very proud to announce that one of the hottest footwear brands on the high street, Moda in Pelle, have given Lafashionfolie blogspot their fashionable seal of approvable.
I'll let you into a little secret as to why here; I undertook a 1 year internship at Moda in Pelle office during my degree, where I met some of the most glamourous girls working in fashion. The girls working in the HQ in Leeds really are the perfect ambassadors for the brand, wearing impossibly glam heels for work everyday. Working with such stylish ladies opened my eyes to the wonders of heels after years spent devoted to flats. So it's thanks to MIP girls that I now have a wardrobe full of platforms, heeled courts, stilettoes, wedges, the list goes on!
My favourite style in Moda's current collection are definitely the gorgeous blush-coloured suede Pollyanna wegdes below. Pefect for nailing this season's seventies trend, Pollyanna will look seriously stylish teamed with an on-trend pair of flared trousers. Add a touch of Moda magic to your wardrobe and snap up these beauties for £89.95 at Modainpelle.com today.
